at the whole poisoned pet food situation? I'm to the point of being afraid to feed my pets anything canned, even if it's not on the recall list. Did you know this Menu foods co. knew something was wrong at least a month before they finally alerted the public? They've been way too slow in coming up with answers! They still won't say how rat poison ended up in the wheat gluten. And why are they importing wheat from China, anyway? What can I feel safe feeding my pets? And did they even think of the consequences of a toddler accidently ingesting some of this poisoned food? Here is everyone's chance to weigh in on this subject. I know that I'm mad as h*ll!

I'm afraid to feed my pup anything processed. I cook her home-made meals. I cosider "dog food" a fatty supplement. This site explains most of my issues with "dog food" :

I seriously doubt the rat poison has anything to do with it. The amount necessary to cause this problem we are seeing would be astonishing. I once bought an industrial quantity of some of the strongest rat poison available.

A raccoon got into it and ate it all in one evening. Assuming that he was history, I spent another $45 on another little barrel of this rat poison and it disappeared as quickly as the first. Being a bit upset about loosing nearly $100 this way, set a couple of live traps to catch what ever was doing this. The raccoon that I caught was so fat that he could not even turn around in the trap. He had eaten the packets of poison that I had put in the trap as bait so I'm sure that he was familiar with the packets enough that he knew something that he liked was in them. I kept him in the trap till the next day to see if the poison had any affect on him but he seemed fat and sassy when I let him go. He ran like a track star toward the woods I released him near.

The quantity of poison that would be necessary to contaminate the amount of food they are telling us was contaminated for the amount of time they are claiming it was contaminated would be staggering.

We are talking about hundreds if not thousands of tons of dog and cat food. It just doesn't add up. This is obviously a cover story designed to hide the true source of the contamination.

We may never know what really happened but it is interesting that those who import human food to the US from other countries have been heavily lobbying congress for years.

These lobbyists have been very successful in getting laws passed that make it unnecessary for imported food to be labeled as imported, or to have genetically altered food products from being labeled like they are required to be labeled in Europe. We have known for years that certain species of living things are killed by contact with certain genetically modified food products.

I makes one wonder why they are trying so hard to keep us from knowing what we are eating.

Love and blessings Don
