Awww ... my old .. very old .. stomping grounds! LOL!!!
Well, my personal favorites are the campgrounds at the beach. There is Sunset State Park and Bastendorff County Park, both just west Charleston, which is west of Coos Bay.

Bullards Beach State Park is even better! It is two miles north of Bandon, and more right on the beach. Lots of wind there, though (the other two are a bit more sheltered right in the campground). I love Bullards Beach for the proximity to Bandon, it's such a cool town to visit.

North of North Bend, near the tiny town of Lakeside, are several campgrounds. They are much further from the Beach, but on the sand dunes.

There are other small parks and campgrounds in Coos County, depending on the area you are looking at staying.
