A releve is when you plea then rise to the balls of your feet. Your preparation for a pirouette is a plea (usually in fourth position) which then takes you and spins you on the ball of your foot. You should not put your heel down when doing a pirouette because it looks very sloppy, not to mention it is improper. On the other hand (just incase this is useful) eleves are just like releves, but you do not plea, you just go right up on the balls of your feel.

A releve is to rise up onto demi-point or point and then to come back down to the floor, but WITH RESISTANCE! ballerina's normally do releves in parallel to make thier calf muscles stronger along with thier ankes. you should probly be able to do around 50 on each leg. as you get better at it you may be able to get to over 100. this will help your priouettes. anotherthing that will help you is to keep your arms in first possition because this keeps your back. and dont lean back during the turn.
hope this can help you!

A releve means staying up on the ball of your foot. When you're doing a pirouette, you always want to be on your toes. It's awfully hard to turn when your whole foot is on the ground! Good luck!

a relevee is when you simple stand in whatever position you want to, plie, and lift your heels up the floor so all your weight is in the balls of your feet. try to go up as far as you can on the balls of your feet, and just go up and down and up and down.make sure you plie between each one! good luck!!!

just to stand on your toes, like when you're doing turns and stuff make sure you are in releve, meaning on your toes.

Releve "To rise onto pointe or demi-pointe."

it just means to go on the balls of your feet (tippy toes) unless you're en pointe, then it means stand on your box

PLEASE DO NOT confuse releves with eleves! In a releve, you ple-a' and go up. eleves you do NOT ple-a'
