Who will win? Why? Will they be the best person for the job?

I think Hillary will probably take it because most people voting have not been informed or are to ignorant to understand the history of her lies, deception, and corrupt socialist values. I also think a third party, such as the libertarians will rise to power once the majority of the people have gotten a taste of how big government can't do the job as well as individuals, and private enterprise. If the democrats do win, it could very well be the end of our nation as we know it. Less freedom for sure.

First, let us write off the Republicans. They will come up with a less offensive conservative who has no Bush league baggage, like McClain. Then they will pretend to run against their own record.

It should work as well for them as it did for Hubert Humphrey in 1968. The Republicans have moved so far away from Abraham Lincoln they have forgotten that you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

McClain has the best chance for the GOP, though. Rude Rudy simply does not have the weight, and does have the baggage. If 9/11 hadn't come along he would be all but forgotten now, as the NYC mayor who boffed his mistress in Gracie Mansion, while his daughters could hear.

How can the party that lynched Bill Clinton for a ******** tolerate that? It would be a very entertaining campaign, especially against Senator Clinton.

So, let's just assume a Democrat will win, unless the corporatists who own the vote counting computer can rearrange the figures. That leaves a very interesting field for the primaries.

Hillary Clinton has to be the front runner, given her name recognition and record. A lot of moderates (like me) were disturbed at the virulence and unreasoning hatred the neoconservatives treated her with during when she was First Lady, and feel a natural sympathy for one who has been maligned without ceasing for years.

Add a fair record in the Senate and her years at the White House, and she has a good start.

Barak Obama is getting lots of talk, but he is simply not experienced enough. What are his actual accomplishments? Frankly, while he may be an admirable man he should be concentrating on learning how the Senate works in his first years there.

He may get the buzz, but he will not gather enough serious support unless blacks vote for him merely on the grounds of pigmentation.

Al Gore would be a serious contender. He probably has won once before, and certainly could have done no worse than his opponent. He, too, has experience in the Senate and the White House. Ironically (since Nader and the Greens helped elect George W. Bush in 2000) he is also the most environmentally conscious candidate to run for the job since Theodore Roosevelt.

He, however, may not really want the job any more. When the Democrats win, though, he will be a hitter in the cabinet.

Joe Biden has an outside shot, but lacks name recognition. John Kerry has name recognition, but has no shot.

If one had to guess at this time the best bet would be Clinton/Gore or Clinton/Obama. Either one wipes the floor with McClain/Giuliani, and if the GOP gets as ugly as they have in the past I suspect the voters in the middle will vote massively Democratic to make their rejection of those tactics even more clear than they did this year.

Call it Clinton/Obama and sweeping democratic gains, because the mainsteam parties seldom learn without a humiliating lesson.

I'm writing in Dan Whitney (Larry the Cable Guy) for president and Rush as his running partner. They are better than what we've got to vote for!

Honestly I think Clinton will win. Yes, I've already started packing my bags if she does!

I really wish Fred Thompson would go for the office. At least he's not a milk dud politician. He's honest and will stand up for what's right!

You are asking a lot. Who knows? My crystal ball is in the shop for repairs right now. I know the libs will do anything to win and if they don't.... blame the republicans for cheating. lol Then there will be four or 8 more years of presidental bashing! Gee I can't wait. I hope people turn out in record numbers and vote for Ron Paul but I don't see that happening.

Hopefully almost anybody but Giuliani. I used to like him before I knew him, but then I got to know him, and here's what I learned: Giuliani is arrogant, bigoted, ill tempered and a womanizer. He divorced his 2nd wife, Donna Hanover, by announcing it at a press conference instead of telling her in person first. He was having an affair with an aide while living at Gracie Mansion & while still married and mayor of NYC while taking credit for all the good things that were done by others in “the city”. He fired William Bratton; the police commissioner in 1994 when he found out he made the cover of Time magazine because he (Giuliani) wanted to take the credit for the innovative crime fighting. I lived in NY during his dictatorship, and believe me; I would not want him as president. His character is far worse than Bush & Clinton's worse faults rolled into one, if you can believe that's possible. Even his own kids don’t talk to him, now, what does that tell you? His name should be Mussoliani.

As for 9/11…. he’s no hero, he just happened to be in the right place at the right time. The real heroes of 9/11 were the NYC firefighters & police plus all the other rescue workers from the surrounding tri-state areas who voluntarily came to pitch in & help us.

Edwards will slide in over Hillary and obama. He will face Rudy over McCain. The republican run government has f things up so bad in Iraq the cannot win. The last election is a perfect example. McCain is way too far up bush's *** to win. Hillary voted for the war, she is a woman and half the people hate her. Obama is the best Candidate in my opinion but he has a Muslim name and is not white. So Edwards v Rudy and Edwards wins simple because he is Democrat.

If GORE really ever wanted to be president he would run and win in a land side.

but if you only understand one thing its a racket....there is NO republican, democrat, left right, blue red, conservative liberal. There is only ultra wealthy globalists agenda vs. the people. The left right bullshit is a system of control where they just blame each other and pass illusion of control back and forth with never having to answer to the people. Our future: see Mexico.

vote: Ron Paul

Who knows. Maybe there will not be an election in 2008. With trouble looming in Iran, that maybe the excuse to not have an election during Wartime.

The Media will make another CIRCUS out of it!!! The Liberals will win because George pissed everybody off, nobody will give a damn about what is right and what is wrong, and the status quo will continue unabated, and in four years we'll be looking at each other again asking the same questions!!!! Get It ?????

Not sure exactly who will win, but it will be a Democrat, and I bet it won't be Obama or Hilary , just because people seem split on them and can't unite.... well, maybe Obama. I bet if a right wing democrat or a middle of the line independant runs (like Lieberman) They would have a good chance.

The problem is that the best person does not win. To think that Father Bush and Son Bush were the best the country can do??? And the wife of Clinton is the best choice as well???

We need a new system...
