dont let the baby sleep wit u.. ur child gets use to ur closenes. and wants it all the time which makes it hard for u and ur baby and it also will make it hard when ur child goes to a babysitter.. or so on... sometimes is okay jus dont make it a habbit... I understand ur tired and want some sleep 2.. but do ur hardest to put the baby in its own crib or w/e when it is sleeping... If anyone offers to take care of ur baby while u rest for a couple hours Hesitate but take the person up on thier offer as long as u can trust them w/ the baby!

keep them warm if you have your home air conditioned babies have a different feeling of hot and cold when their soo young they tend to get a lil chilly more often then we would..when feeding make sure they dont drink those air bubbles in the bottle theyll get gas and be up crying all nite sooo BURP BURP BURP them! they could get colic if you dont and if you never heard of that look it up and try to avoid it! keep them safe and secure at all times especially if you have young ones come and visit they tend to be very curious and sometimes alittle rough and last bt not least KEEP GERMS OUT!! if someone is sick dont let them hold the baby or hang out with you guys cuz if you get sick whos guna watch the baby and you dont want your newborn exposed to anything so wash your hands often before and after a diaper change and before each feeding!! goodluck!

Breast feed if you can and are willing to. You still have to get up in the middle of the night to feed the baby, but you save the trip to the kitchen to make and warm the bottle.

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF... The baby thing comes natrually. I dont think I ate for a week, and maybe had one shower. Get some sleep.. Don't let friends and family overwhelm you with visits. Tell them to come back later-- they'll understand! :)

wow.. you have a lot of questions!
I suggest you use an infant swing
Don't let them lay in one position too long (flat head)
swaddle!
breastfeed (if you can't- use Dr. Brown's bottles)
keep daytime bright and tickle baby's feet to stay awake
night-time is all business, feed-change- back to bed only (no talking)
