My wife has an egg on Tueday. On Wednesday night and Friday night we had sex. Next Saturday the doctor (gynae) checked and found sperms had mostly died. But the sperm count, mobility, etc was found normal from the bottle sample done few days earlier. The doctor said this is due to toxic in the vagina? Is there such thing? How to overcome it? Another doctor suggested that it is due to incompatibility between the sperm and the vagina fluid. I never heard of it before. Anyone knows?

I meant the next day, which is a Saturday, we went to the doctor to check what happened to the sperm inside. My wife and I had not had any child since we married 6 years ago. The doctor suggested doing IUI, but I want to know if there is a way to "clean the vagina?

Thanks for your answers but I dont think I'll remarry others. I love my wife and she will be heartbroken if she knows there is nothing else we can do. My Obgyn refuse to talk about the mucus. She recommends doing IUI. But then, it will mean the root cause it not overcome. And having to always do IUIs for future pregnancies. And that is sad for my wife.

our IVF Dr. said it is possible for the women's vaginal fluids to kill the sperm, like they are intruders. He thought I was actually allergic to my husbands sperm. (it took us 10 years to conceive naturally).

Some women do not have a lot of cervical mucus in their vagina or "hostile" mucus that is not sperm friendly. Bad mucus could be from soaps, douching, or the lack of. I would recommend her taking something that has guaifenesin as an active ingredient such as Robitussin or Mucinex... check out the link below

My Sil was married for 15 years previous to my brother and tried all 15 years to get pg..nothing. She and her ex are remarried to others and they both now have 2 kids apiece. I have a friend who went to fertility doctors for years...nothing. got remarried and has a baby now. I guess some people can be incompatible but maybe there is something that can be done. Good luck.
