This seems to come up in the popular media today. I was wonder what the origin was however.

In Medieval Europe, the upper classes tended to be darker haired than the peasantry, likely due to the period tendency to marry within one's own class and the fact that lower class people were far more exposed to sunlight. Blonde hair was, at this time, often associated with commoners, who were ostensibly deemed less intelligent. Puritans, associating makeup and dyeing of hair with prostitution, forbade the dyeing or bleaching of hair, creating an imprint on dyeing hair that lasted until the 1920s. The "dumb" side could have been a way for wives of adulterous men to reassure themselves about the infidelity of their husbands; to think that their husband's blonde mistress was sleazy, worthless, ditzy, and not very intelligent. Or, the idea might stem from the idea amongst Romans and Greeks that Northern Europeans were barbarians and thus less advanced than Southern Europeans.

Actually I believe hollywood would be to blame, many years ago the joke on some of the movies, we now call sitcoms was the dumd blonde homemaker, or the girl friday in the office, or Bogie's ref. to " hey ya dumd broad". Anyway it's been around awhile. It just made a resurrection several years back again. Of course not all were blonde, some were redheads; aka LUCY.

Because some women find that its easier to attact men if they pretend to be stupid.
They also find lots of guys like blonde hair. Thus many women, natural and unnatural blonde, pretend to be stupid to attact guys and get out of doing alot of work, etc.
For myself, I prefer straight black hair and smart girls. Brains more important than the hair, or at least if a girl is not Einstein I prefer her to not pretend too much, except as joking.

They aren't. Untill they start acting stupid.
Sometimes kids make a mistake and start living up (or down) to someone elses expectation. What are you doing?
Decide what hair color you want, and be the best you can be.

Think about it. What color did the moron you know that chose to dye her hair "to be more attractive" choose. Blonde. Unfortunately it has a ripple effect on all others.

Blondes crave attention so they made themselves act that way in order to get attention but it just makes them seem easy.

because most blonde have a knack of saying stupid thing but, this is completly unreasonable because everyone dyes or highlights their hair blonde.

Because it is true! hahaha looking thier are plenty of stupid people and yes most of them are blonde but not all of them.
