I'm a die-hard Red Sox fan, but I think the Dodgers and Tigers have the best shots at the whole enchilada. They both have solid teams from top to bottom--which I can't say for my Sox unless Beckett learns to pitch consistently and Lester gets back into great game shape (he will be a great pitcher when he fully recovers and gets a bit more Major League experience). Jason Schmidt could be the straw that breaks the National League's bats for the Dodgers, and I just can't explain the Tigers' demise in the Series last year--The Cards were just cruising on all cylinders. Who would've thought that flat-rim Reyes would have the game that he had? Anyway, I think Detroit is going back to the WS this year in a fashion similar to last year. Leyland is a wizard, but he also has a hell of a roster.

Of course, I hope that Matsuzaka fever inspires the Red Sox to pull off another great run, but I'm taking the hype with a grain of salt for now.

Tigers over Dodgers in six games.

I've got the Red Sox over the Phillies.

Dice-K, Schilling, Beckett, Wakefield, and Lester should be solid. Paplebon is back in the pen to shut the door. JD Drew is a nice pickup for Fenway. Put him in front of Ortiz and Ramirez and look out.

Boston Red Sox

Oakland Athletics. They have solid pitching from starters Rich Harden and Danny Haren as well as closer Huston Street and setup man Justin Duscherer. They have good bats in Chavez, Swisher, Piazza, and Bradley. Also, I think that they are going to make a huge mid-season trade that will seriously help them out. Names I'm thinking of include Morneau, Guerrero, Wells, etc.

The Yankees or the Red Sox.

Listen. This isnt on my personal opinion. Im laying down the facts. No, people who said the BoSoxs, they have no chance whatsoever.

My Picks :

Yankees :

Why?

Line Up :

Johnny Damon : All Star, hit over 20 Home Runs last year and over 100 runs scored while he put up a modest 285 batting average

Derek Jeter : Listen, we know how he is, he has everything know, He can do ''The Flip'' he can hit for some power, hey, he ven batted above 340 last year, hes just impressive. Enough said.

Bobby Abreu : He can steal if he needs too, hit for some power, knock in runs, and be a slick fielder......

Alex Rodreguiez - This future Home Run King / HOFer hit over 30 hrs last year and more then 110 R.B.I.S. some say hes lost it, I say he just got better.

Jason Giambi - Ingurys are a problem for a guy, but he still hits 30 hrs at age 37, and 100 rbis, wow. Amazing.

Robinson Cano - Unlike most 2nd basemens he can hit, hitting over 340 last season, although it might not happen again I think he'll hit in the 300's, not quite 340 though =)

Matsui - He was ingured most of the season, but put up solid numbers...I forgot what his numbers were but he still makes amazing catches in the field with his slick glove.

Jorge Posada - He hits for power, his arm is better then ever, he hits in R.B.I.S. , over 70 last season. For a catcher he puts up amazing numbers. He puts up 270 numbers because playing catcher is so physiclly tiring that you wont hit that well when you get up to the plate. Good luck Jorgie!

Those are the reasons why their offense will carry them to a title.

Pitching Rotation

1. Chienmenwang, A solid Pitcher who had a 3 run E.R.A. last season but olny 70 stirke outs. He might not have his season like last year but he'll still put up solid numbers and give up a reasonable amount of runs on the board, the Yankees can prodouce the runs he gives up.

2. Mike Mussina - He may be over 40 but he still can give you a 4.00 or a High 3.00 E.R.A. and give you strikeouts.....I think the Moose is done with his carrer, but I think this season will turn out good for him.

3. Kei Iwaga - Young, Japinese pitcher. He may not handle the fans, and all the media attention too well but I think that he will be preety good for the Yanks, I mean if you look at his statisitcs in Japan I think being in America will olny slightly affect them.

Mets

Line Up :

1. David Wright - This young one can hit homers, field, and bat for average hitting over 300 last season. Hes going to carry the team to victory and I believe David Wright is the next ''Derk Jeter'' as well as the next Met captain.

2. Jose Reyes - Although he is young, and hits 270 at times, he makes it up by hitting homes runs, (Renember his 3 HR Day?) stealing bases, and fielding slickly. He not the best at offense, bu t his incredible defense pays for his offense.

3. Carlos Delgaldo. He may be old, but he plays like a rookie. His first ever playoff game he had what, 5 hits I believe? He hits so many homers for a guy his age, hits those R.B.I.S. and dras in the fans to Shea Staidum. The mets need this guy to go to the World Series

4. Paul Lu Duca - If you compare him with other catchers hes just brillant. He bats above 300. and fields well. Hes just good.

5. Moises Alu (How do you spell his name?) Well, hes 40 years old, but he still hits over 30 homers, knocks in the R.B.I.S., and does some more...But he will be best in the back of the lineup were he gets less AB because of his age but he'll still get you hits, dingers, and R.B.I.S. the Mets got someone better then Cliff Floyd to replace Cliff Floyd. =)

Pitching Rotation, theirs no reason why the mets will win with their pitching rotatin, Pedro will be ingured untill the All-Star Break, Glavines 40 and faces ingurys, So Is Orlando Hernadez, and the rest of the pitching rotation is a band of unexperinced rookies and 2-3 year vetrans that weve never heard of. I think the Mets need to whip them into shape to win a World Series but other then that the team is good.

Those are my predictions, Thankies!

I think (unfortunatly) the New York Yankees, they have a solid lineup, experience, and if their pitching staff holds up then they will win it all.

I think one of the LA teams. Both teams have great starting pitching and bullpens. The batting lineups are very very potent also.
