Talk about your weekend or about how your room is a mess. I personally find it longer and easier to ellaborate on something impressive or someone who is handsome or pretty. You can lengthen your conversation, if that's what you want. Other elongating topics are:
~ What you're doing on the computer
~ What you are talking about now
~ Do something funny! Fart or send random e-mails to
random usernames and tell your friend about your silliness.
You will get a lot out of this.
~ Go watch TV. Be a "people watcher"; that is to say, whatch
people's facial expressions or talk about an old American
Idol episode. Look at what people are wearing. Do you like
that dress? Is that a cute top? Do you like her shoes?
There are endless topics out there. I hope you have a good talk!

You know those 100 question surveys that people take on myspace and livejournal and whatnot? Ask him/her all the questions on there and you can answer them too. I like to do that it's fun =] Basically 20 questions, only you don't have to think of the questions hah

Talk about someone you both know or bring up a current event like...."Can you believe those two idiots that fell off of the cruise ship? What were they on?".

Just ask them how they are and then you can talk about your interests and ask the person about theirs....ask what they like to do for fun or in their spare time...you could also talk about your friends and family....

ask what they did today
hobbies
ask if they like your hobbies or if they've ever tried any of your hobbies.
ask if they would like to enjoy one of your hobbies with you.
ask about their family
ask about their schooling, job(s)
life in general... when you dont know someone too well you could talk for hours......

so do u go 2 school wat grade? or wat work do u do. Wats your favourite food? i like pizza, etc
Start with small talk then get more into the talking stuff.
um lets see sometimes i make something up like uh my older sibling is so annoying! don't u hate siblings. Ta Da!
Or complain alittle bout yr boss/teacher and then let them share there story

Play would you rather. Easy and funny.
Ex: Would you rather be spit on by everybody or spit on everybody?

ask him questions about himself like whats his favorite thing to do, does he like sports, what teams etc, what he do when hes older .. its pretty boring but he will love talking about himself.
