People have already asked about what the resolution of the human eye is, it think someone said something like 325 megapixels, but what about FPS? i mean, if you ever watch tv or go to the movies you can see the FPS when the camera pans, it gets a little jerky, but what would the human eye translate to in FPS?

Hertz can refer to any cyclical or periodic occurrence.
(My computer does not operate at a "sound" of 3 GHz.)

When you keep your eyes still the clear field is 40 degrees, roughly. When you are not looking at anything in particular you scan the scene in front of you constantly and your brain updates the image 50 times a second so the field is nearer the 120-140 degree width.

Hertz is a measurement of sound, not light wavelength.
