Is there such a thing as a pc master password ( read my deatails)?

uhhh well my computer is password protected and i cannot remember the password is there another way i can get on

restart your computer
until start up, rapidly press F8
should go to safe mode
change password by going to control panel
clicking accounts (or something like that)
select your account
select change password
enter new password
restart computer
DO NOT PUSH F8

did you type a hint to remind you what your password is,thats how i do mine.
