When I read "Can anyone cheer me up?" I thought of something. It's a joke. There are two people because it's a questions and answer joke, so to designate the second person I'll put ** before the line.

Why do elephants paint their toe nails pink?
** I don't know. Why?
To hide in jelly bean jars. Have you ever seen an elephant in a jelly bean jar?
** No.
See, it works.

LOL. That used to be my favorite joke ever and I'd laugh for minutes at a time. I was also amused that I had a friend who simply did not get it.
Not many people like that joke as much as me. If you don't like it, you can laugh at me for liking it. Go ahead, I don't mind. I just hope you find some amusement in it all.

Hobbies?
I used to either write or paint constantly whether I was venting about something or happy about something. You could just take a pencil and touch it to paper and see where it leads from there. It doesn't have to be 'art' or measure up to some standard. Just feel free to express yourself in whatever way your hand or mind takes you. No violence, though, like ... oh wait, I won't put ideas in your head since you don't need them for anything.
You could teach yourself something (like webpage design - I have some good sites for that if you're interested - just email me) or explore career options for the future or study for your classes. You might not like the last ones, but I found it relaxing to study when I was in school. It distracted me from b*llsh*t in other areas of life.
You could watch something funny on youTube or tv if you can find something. Family Guy and Futurama are two of my funny favorites right now.

Good luck and I hope you find a way to smile soon.

First you need to apologize to the teacher for writing negative things about people. You sound like you may be jealous of them. Look into yourself and ask why? Only you can make you happy. Remember that. You need to get with your counselor and find out how you go about getting your grades up. This is important to your future. It may mean writing extra papers or staying after school. Do it. You will feel so much better about yourself and your self esteem with sky rocket.
Be happy for your friend that is good at track. You are good at other things. Participate in those things. If you don't get this straightened out now, you are going to be left behind. Your friends will go off to college or careers and you will still be thinking negative thoughts. Another thing: People like other people that smile and have a good time in life. I have ditched several friends along the way because they were just dragging me down and makign ME depressed. Don't be like one of those. Start tomorrow. Try being pleasant and smiling. See if it works? It will.

Everything I'm going to tell you is mostly from a very special 8th grade teacher I had -- here goes.

I think someone needs to be tough, whether you realize it or not -- stop complaining and stop whining. You can complain and whine about your situation all you want, how's that going to help you? Why bother doing something that won't lead to LONG-TERM happiness? Why focus on things that will lead to short term happiness? You can give me, your friends, family, yourself, everyone excuses about why you can't do something -- but how will that help you? It's the easier way out, of course. Anyone can be negative, that's easy. But it takes effort to be positive. Life sucks, life is good -- both are accurate. But one's a good way of percieving.

You decide everything that leads to your mindset and feelings. You're in control, and no one else is. Don't let anyone convince you of that. Deny what I'm saying if you want, it's your choice -- do what you feel is best. I'm not being mean, I'm just giving you something I think you need -- advice that sounds harsh, but will help you better in the long run. I read a quote a little while ago, forgot the author, but it said that the pain that cuts into your soul, once gone, will make more room for happiness to enter.

And don't create the desire to want pity from others -- it just won't happen. 7th grade lang. arts teacher: "You can't go around feeling sorry for yourself because no one's going to feel sorry for you."

Deny everything I'm saying, or listen to it -- your choice and no one else's. It'll only help you.

One more quote from my 8th grade teacher, a famous one most of his students have memorized b/c he repeats it so much, "If you have a challenge, deal with it, learn from it, grow stronger for it, and move on..."

One more thing he said to me: "Just do it -- it is what you need."

This may sound corny but if I say a little prayer, God always make me feel a little better. Cheer up, you've got a lot of years to look forward to. Life is hard but it's also alot of fun if you don't let the crappy stuff get you down. Watch a sitcom for 1/2 hour and laugh a little, things WILL get better!

I can tell you this - EVERYBODY has sucky days, weeks, months - but they pass. The sucky days they pass away. It is those sucky days that make us the strong and wise.
Really I promise.

I had my red mohawk nobody understands me I hate everybody F getting days.
I've had other "dark valley" walks that nobody has to hear about now too.

But I really feel that if I had not gone through those days I wouldn't be the kick a** woman I am today.

Watch the Animaniacs!
It sounds weird but it'll work for a while.
Get a massage (This will also work)
Go to a psychitrist. (I haven't tried this)
Look for funny videos on youtube/google video/yahoo video

I feel your pain. My 5th and late 6th grade years sounded a lot what you're going through. Belive me you're not alone.

I hope that you have a good counselor at school who you can talk to. I am a school counselor and it breaks my heart to read about how bummed you are. If not a counselor, perhaps your dad can help you with your feelings. I hope this helps...

Don't take things so seriously, lighten up and get a sense of humor, it's part of getting older.
