How water proof is that foam boardinsulation for houses, or is there any insulation that is waterproof that i could use or some type of coating to make the insulation waterproof any ideas out there no matter how wacky lemme know

yes, polystyrene board is waterproof, but I would reccomed using a urethane caulk to seal all of the joints. Don't use silicone because it will melt the polystyrene.

I would not count on the insulating foam to be waterproof. A thin layer of silicon on the surface will seal up all the pores (along with the seams). Wax (paraffin like from candles) could also work, but may prove more messy.

Yeah, it's waterproof. You'll have to glue or tape the joints. If you do have leaks maybe you could line it with plastic...
