Well... If you want a grade
Barrett is one of the better catchers in the game, [B].
Teixeira struggled last year and isn't one of the dominate first basemen when it comes to homers and RBI, [B-].
Kent is one of the better 2B in the game with a mix of power and average, however nowadays you need speed from the middle infield and you don't have that [B-].
Hall is an up and coming youngster but still hasn't proven himself as one of the tops [B].
Crede is ok, but not fantastic, hopefully a VERY late draft pick, [B-]
Soriano [A+].
Ichiro, probably starting to decline, however he is still a force [A].
Francouer is one of the star youngsters of the new era, however he has a low batting average and a high strikeout total [B-].
Blaylock [C=].
Nomar Granted he was the comeback player of the year don't expect him to put up the same numbers[B-].

Overall: B-
Hopefully you have a great pitching staff, you probably be on the bubble to make the playoffs. If you make some good trades with some key free agent pickups you could make a run at it.

I don't know how good a team this is, given that there are only 8 teams in the league. But we also neeed to know -- is this rotisserie? what categories if so? head to head? points?

In a 8 team league, you should average 3rd or 4th as to each position. You have arguably the best outfielder in Soriano, and probably the third best 1st baseman in Teixiera. Ichiro is roughly the tenth best at the position, and Francouer roughly 22nd.

Otherwise, Barret is a mid-level pick, Hall a weak pick in your league, Crede very poor, and Blaylock sub-par. And you have to be able to improve on Nomar, who has been injury prone lately and has had only one good half season with little power in the past few years.

So its decent, but not a clear winner -- but who knows, thats why they play the games, right?

Looks like a pretty solid lineup, i think you got a steal with crede and francouer and i bet nomar has a good year. As long as your pitching staff is any good you should do all right in your league.

for offense i would give you a 7 out of 10 = Grade C. you have lots of stolen bags potentially though which is a great thing to have. lots of power in soriano and teixeira. hope this helps.
