Building a bomb is not recommended as it can lead to injury and/or death.

You need to put in like a battery to conduct the charge to set the bomb off, a combustable substance like oil that will explode when the electricity makes contact, and a reciever implanted into the bomb and turned on by a specific wave signal. I.E your remote

You can make the batteries of the remote explode. You could likely put the whole thing in a microwave and get terrible damage.

Not a very good one.... You could build a detonator though.

If this is a school project, please come up with something that is not dangerous or illegal.....if you are planning to blow up something, forget it.....illegal and you will end up in jail for a long time.....ain't worth it...
