They are chicken wings deep fried and covered in hot "Buffalo" sauce, named for Buffalo N.Y. were they originated. If you haven't tried them, they are awesome! As a native, I can share a very simple recipe to make them yourself.

Deep fry chicken wings until crisp on edges. Shake in plastic bag or container to cover in following sauce:

Melt 2 tbsp butter/margarine
Add 4 tbsp hot sauce (cayenne pepper)
Add 2-3 dashes of Tabasco sauce


Serve with chunky blue cheese dressing.

Yum!

Okay. So in Buffalo the city in some state.. They started putting a hot sauce on their chicken wings!! So since that started in Buffalo, everyone calls them Buffalo wings, get it? Holy crap, I never thought I'd use that fact =P

No they don't. They're called buffalo wings because the chicken wings that you order are covered in buffalo sauce. The suace is called buffalo sauce because it was invented in Buffalo, New York.

you got some sexy lips , baby.... but they are called Buffalo wings because of the hot southwestern flavored sauce....Buffalo just makes it sound southwestern...hot wings are about that same thing but buffalo sounds cooler.
