Disadvantages:
1. Can't upgrade CPU, video card, soundcard, modem and any other internal device (but you can upgrade RAM or HDD). When one of the internal device goes bad, you have to replace the whole motherboard. For upgrading RAM, it depends on the laptop's maximum capacity.
2. More expensive
3. If the monitor gets messed up, it'll be very expensive to repair (if the NB is no longer in warranty)
4. Generally, you won't be able to play hardcore games on laptop due to its videocard limitation

Advantages:
1. Portable
2. Most has Wireless card ready, so you can take it to a hotspot and connect to the Internet

YES!!!! First of all, the laptops are more expensive. THe technology is harder to make because it needs to be small. Also, due to it's size, you cannot store as much data. The laptop can run out of power on the road also. Not to mention it is very likely to get stolen and or broken. Laptops are also slower due to less RAM capability.
