I recently purchased a Samson C01U USB Studio Condenser microphone to use for podcasting. However I find the static is annoying! Here is an example I recorded for a different forum

That is the link to the .mp3. Do you know of any programs out there that allow you to get rid of the crappy static?

Magix audio cleaning lab has a feature where you can take a little sample of a noise, such as the 'static' hiss and remove the specific frequency from your complete recording. (they call it the 'denoiser') takes some playing around with but it's a nice feature (would allow you to do a lot more also...)
It's quite cheap especially if you pick up an older version...
Audacity (free download) probably does this too, but you would no doubt have to locate the frequency yourself - the advantage of audacity is that its free:

I think you would do well to try and get rid of this sound at source though. Try repositioning the Mic away from any other electronics to cut out any possible interference.
One more tip might be to upgrade to the Rode Podcaster? I think it has some additional functionality though it is more expensive:

Hope this helps
