My bosses son comes into work a few times a week, he doesnt work he just floats around the place, mostly annoying the people that work here.

It started with a bit of verbal abuse, calling me 'stupid' and 'dummy' and threatening to punch me etc. And then the last few times he has been here he has punched and hit me. He doesnt go for the face, mostly in the upper leg and stomach, it hurts in certain spots especially

My boss saw him doing it on one occassion and told him to stop, he laughed and walked away, but as soon as my boss was out of sight he came back and did it again.

Now dont get me wrong, he punches and hits me, but I could take him if I wanted to, I just dont hit back, because the last person employed that did that got sacked. He is quite small, possibly why he hits people, and his punches are pretty weak, I just cant get a lot of work done while being abused.

How can I get him to stop? I dont want to have to go to my boss, it seems weak.

Follow him one night and take him out. That way, it stops and no one really knows that it was you that did it, so you can't get in trouble.

Are there no laws in your country against physical and verbal abuse? No one has the right to do what this person does.
I'd go to the police right away and not only that but sue your boss for allowing physical mental abuse to be carried out at the workplace.

Call the Better Business Bureau and complain. Get those losers fired - they're obviously not professionals. At least contact human resources and file a complaint. If I was hit I would probably get them fired as well as sue... It's NEVER okay to hit, let alone touch, anybody (especially at work).

You should take eit up with your boss, you ar elucky enough to live in a country that protects you from such abuse.

If he does not pay attention to it then complain to your govt official department

You can threated to beat him up, but that might not work.

I think you have to go to your boss as that is your only option, other than to go to the police (he is committing common assault).
