long labor or short labor?
i think the contractions in short labor are so fast and heavy u never get to adjust to the pain levels
but long labor goes on for freakin ever

Short labor is better!!!!
No matter how long I'd have, I'd never adjust to the pain levels-- Plus there is the exhaustion factor.
This is talking about natural labor, though--- not induced with drugs to speed things up. That's like going from nothing to transition in three contractions and I think it totally freaks out your body as well as your mind.
My 2nd labor was very long--- the 3rd time I walked a whole lot, took herbs. etc and had a much shorter easier labor.

I had short labor which was painful but that did not match the pain of having a c-section.

i was in labor for 10 hours and my contractions started at 3 min apart and they were strong .
it was bad but so worth it

THAT IS A VERY GOOD QUESTION! I THINK THEY BOTH HURT LIKE HELL! MY LABOR WAS ONLY 6HRS AND 15MIN WITH MY FIRST AND ONLY BABY AND I NEVER GOT THE BUILD UP MINE CONTRACTIONS JUST HIT AND THEY WERE 10MIN APART. I WOULD HAVE LIKE TO HAVE THE BUILD UP TO THE MORE PAINFUL ONE I BELIEVE BUT BEING IN LABOR SO LONG IS ALSO HELL. JUST ABOUT 8 MONTHS NOW WITH SECOND AND WOULD LIKE IT TO BE OVER AND DONE WITH SINCE THAT IS ALL I KNOW!!

long labor of course- you're going to dilate and expel the child either way- you might as well not drag it out.

i had contractions for 18 hours which was horribly painful but the pushing was less then 20 min and wasn't too bad.
(this is my husbands s/n btw..lol)

i was in labour for 27 hours the first time around and i wished that it ended sooner. i have to say long labour is the worst...seriously!
