I got a bag of water softener pellets at Sam's club. Each pellet consists of NaCl in a smooth pellet shape. NaCl is ordinary table salt.

The mass of the bag of pellets was 40 pounds.

NaCl = 23.00 + 35.45 = 58.45 g/mol
