Does anyone know how the German people responded to the Reichstag fire on the 27th of February,1933? How do you think they felt? (right after the fire...within a few days..at most.)

So were they upset with the jews? Did this help Hitler gain the German people? Was the media on Hilter's side?(If it was is it because they would "disappear"(murdered)if they spoke against him)

They reacted the way Hitler wanted them to. They were content to give him more power and restrict their liberties because he blamed the communists.
Does that sound familiar?

I suppose the Germans might have been as pissed off at the jews as Americans were at terrorist.

They were angry because they were led to believe that the Jews were responsible for the fire. By guess who and his Nazi party.

i am a Jew and most of them still feel bad becasue we get put down and blamed for stuff we woundn't do. us jews want peace but know adays we have really strong armies or who ever is willing to fight we will not tollerate it.
