It depends on the reason behind the cloning.
If it was for medical issues, say my friend has a damaged liver, yes, clone another one for him. (I think this was the case in The Island, a great movie about clones)
Anyway, but if it was for something else, then, NO.
But I'd love to have myself cloned so that only one of me has to go to one class and the other goes to the other and etc.
Fun.

No, no, and no.
The clones would be different people who just have physical similarities with the people we already know. The clones would be real people, individuals in their own right. We have enough people in the world the way we're going right now. And don't forget that genetic diversity is a good thing.

You know I have wondered about that. If there were a person that looked just like me, like a clone.
Not sure if I would want it but would be interesting to see how they would end up differently in personality than me though.
It would be intriguing.
But also, to see if a clone would be just as good as me without any defects either mentally or otherwise.

Like most of the people, I like myself. For myself, yes, I want to be cloned. But for the clone, I can not do this to him. Clone of myself, currently will have many inefficiencies, health problems, short lifespan, maybe problems. We will be like identical twin having same genetic make up, but different souls, mother, and even, there will be problem about father, who will be his father, is it me or my father ????
İt will be not only problematic but also useless.
As a geneticist, I dont suggest anyone, you do not do a good thing.

No. Nature does this on occasion anyway...twins, triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, and so on. But mind you, nature knows not to make ' exact ' clones... Nature centers on multiplicity with a single purpose... So no two things are ever exactly alike...and cloning smacks of tampering with a phenomenon that has millions of years of backdrop to base its processes.
