Ok, a couple of weeks ago, i was erasing a BUNCH of stuff that was causing my computer to become really slow. So by accident and without knowing, i erased an icon that said soundmax and that's when i starte realizing my computer doesnt have audio/sound. Ive been surfing EVERYWHERE: to the recycle bin, what programs did I erase, everything. Tell what should I do? How can I put it back?

It is probably your sound card drivers.

You'll either need to find the CD and reinstall it - or download it from the web. Shouldnt be too hard if you know what sort of soundcard you have.

You can look up your Hardware by right clicking on "my computer" selecting 'properties' and viewing 'device manager' under 'hardware'. It should give you some idea of what sound card you have.

Or you could try using a Windows Restore Point and going back to before you deleted it.

try rolling back your computer to an earlier date probably to before you started deleting files. you can go back several weeks by using System Restore located in [Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools] If that doesn't work you may need to get the audio drivers reinstalled.

Google SoundMax and find the driver for it and then download and install it.
