Ok, I wanted to be able to download some movies, in order to do this, I needed to download torrent files... I dont know what they are... I dont know how they work... Will someone explain this to me please... I have downloaded Azureus.. I also have WinRaR... I tried unzipping some of the files, and it gave me an error saying the file was not a Win32 file...
or something or other...

I would like a little help like a walkthrough as to exactly how to download the files with azureus and then when you find the folder that the files are in... which ones do you click or right click, or whatever you have to do to convert them to a file that window media player can play...

My windows media player will not play avi files for some reason.. so is there another program i should download that will play avi files?

Anyone that has any experience with this manner, I would greatly appreciate it...

What you have to do is first download and install Azureus. You have it installed now go to a bittorrent website like Demonoid.com or Fenopy.com (which I highly recommend). Browse and find a torrent you'd like to download. Look for a link that says "Download Bittorrent" A dialog box will appear asking if you want to save or open. If you open it should automatically associate Azureus with torrent files so the Azureus program will open. Azureus will look for connections and begin downloading the torrent. It will take some time for the torrent to finish downloading; depending on the size of the file. There is a bar in the program telling you how many MBs or GBs a file is and how much you have downloaded so far.

When all the download is complete look for the folder where Azureus saves all downloaded files. Mine automatically went into C:/My Documents/Azureus Downloads; yours will most likely be different. When you find where the file is located you will see a zip file. Double click on the zip file. Extract the zip file into the same location. After the file is unzipped click on the folder that was just made and you shall see a file in either mp3, avi, mp4 or whatever. Double click on the file to watch or listen to it.

Windows Media Player does play avi files. What you can do is open the Media Player and go to the File menu chose open and look for a file that is avi that way. You'll see :)

If there's a listing named CRACK in a torrent dossier, which means the dossier (program or video games) you could have downloaded is pirated. Just steer clear of those documents, as they are going to damage ur PC as they involves many malicious methods/codes, or you'll be able to be the sufferer of program counterfeiting. Do answer if you want any aid related to this.
