As an organization, the Grizzlies are a catastrophe. No ownership, a lame duck GM, and players that don't want to be there.
Runner up goes to the Knicks. While they've been better this year, they're payroll is still outrageous (the Celtics are close after for the same reason) and while the Yankees at least play well every year, the Knicks have been pretending that an average record has been a huge success. With a payroll like that they should be a top 3 seed every year. While much of this is Isiah Thomas' doing (he's a much better coach than he is a GM)... most of the blame falls to the ownership who just doesn't seem to understand the concept of getting players that compliment each other.
The best, despite the best efforts of Mark Cuban, are the Dallas Mavericks. While Cuban's spending has admittedly helped, Avery Johnson has been a great coach for this team, with Assistant Coach Del Harris likewise playing a major role in their success.
While the Mavs' depth is probably what makes them the best, the starting five of the Phoenix Suns can run with anyone. The Suns are almost equally as good as the Mavs (likewise with a great coach) and are single handedly reshaping the game of basketball with a smaller, extreme tempo game that no other team can imitate (Chicago could MAYBE pull it off if it tried because of its youth).

The best team right now I gotta say is the Dallas Mavericks. Their record is currently (58-11). Is there any other team with that kind of record? That's hot! To me, the Grizzlies suck ***. Look at ther record right now (17-54). If you switch the numbers and make it (54-17) the Phoenix Suns is the closest team to that record. How you gon' have (17-54)? That's a damn embarrassment. The Celtics is even better than em'. HA! HA! HA!

The Milwaukee Bucks are a pretty lousy franchise. They have had a very long dry spell since winning a championship. And even when they had the right players to win it (Robinson, Cassell, Ray Allen, etc.) they still blew it. They had a very sorry season last year too. The best franchise in history might be the Lakers.

worst team is memphis. they have no leader. the celtics have paul pierce.
best team would be the mavs. they have amazing depth in their lineup, have the sixth man (jerry stackhouse) and the mvp (drik nowitzki). they have a great player at each position
pg - jason terry (wets the threes)
sg - devin harris (speedy gonzalez going in the lane)
sf - josh howard (he's josh howard)
pf - dirk nowitzki (come on...)
c - something (dont know his first name) diop (hes just a beast)
