Will they make the playoffs or will they choke? If they make the playoffs would you want to play them?

1. No, too much ground to make up this late
2. It's not that they would choke, it's that someone who has a playoff spot right now, probably Calgary, would have to choke.
3. Yes. They would be by far the weakest of the 8 teams.

The Avalanche will make the playoffs.
Flames Schedule:
Away - MN (twice), Vancouver, SJ, & Colorado
Home - Colorado & Edmonton
Avalanche Schedule:
Away - Phoenix, Calgary, Vancouver
Home - MN, Vancouver, Nashville, & Calgary
Av's have the easier schedule and finish with Calgary at home.
As for playing them in the playoffs, bring it on! 'Cause we probably wouldn't see them before the Conference Final and I would welcome it as both the Avs and Wild are hot. We won in 2003 and we can do it again. Those games were a blast as I got to hate on Bertuzzi.

Two weeks ago or even a week ago I would have said you are nuts but Calgary plays Minny twice next (both on the road and Calgary sucks on the road) AND Calgary plays them twice and they are only 5 points behind so it is VERY POSSIBLE. Assume they win both vs. Calgary-that is 1 point to make up in the remaining games. Let's look at the remaining skeds:
Besides each other twice. Calgary has Minny twice on the road, Vancouver on the road, SJ on the road and Edmonton at home. Remember, Calgary has only won 10 road games all season and they are tough games.
Colorado meanwhile has home for Vancouver, Minny and Nashville and the road for Phoenix and Vancouver. The Calgary games are one at home and one on the road.
Crazily enough, I have their chances at about 40%.
