I was reading and it had pics of John and the Beatles smoking I was just wondering.

You have to remember that this was in the 60s to the 80s. In the 50s-60s, ciggies weren't "bad" for you! But even after smoking was proven to be a hazard to your health, it was too hard for him to stop smoking after so long, especially when he was smoking not just ciggies, but drugs too.

No he didn't. The surgeon general didn't tell him that's why he coughed when he was smoking. He was a really smart song writer but not smart enough to figure out that it was bad for him like all of those people filing the lawsuits.

Does it matter? A light went out when John Lennon was killed. One wonders what he might have accomplished had he lived. Imagine. ;-)

What difference does it make. He didn't die from smoking his death was a result of a smoking gun

Well when they started as teenagers they didn't know but as they got older they did know but by then they were hooked on ciggs. Yes he knew it was bad for him but he had an addiction

I don't think he knew. He died before any real harm from smoking happened to him.
