When the moon is in the sky at the same time as the sun, you can still see the moon because enough light is reflected off the surface of the moon to shine through the scattering effect of the atmosphere. Thus you can see the moon even during the daylight hours.

If they are on the same side of the earth, light reflecting off the earth will illuminate the moon a bit. Providing the sun isn't to bright at your location, the illumination may be enough to see the moon, although faintly.

The moon is always out just depending on the location, the sun blocks the moon so you don't see it at times.

Well, of course you can see the sun during the day, if you couldnt see it it would be night.

You can sometimes see the moon during the day, as it is at right angles to the sun and earth, when viewed from above.

M
E --------------Sun

You cannot see it in this position:

M--E ----------Sun

And slightly

E---M--------Sun

During the day
