yea i love cheerleading but i can go on my old team or go to a different team? IF i go on a different one i might compeet against them what do i do?

I am a coach and can safely speak for many other coaches in that we are not being mean for the sake of being mean.
We work hard to get our team up to par, especially if you are on a competition squad.
I have often gone home after a practice thinking that I might have been too hard on a girl....believe me....it is hard for us to crack the whip because we have all been in your same position. It is just necessary to get everything accomplished.
Usually the girls will come to me and say, no Coach L you aren't too hard on us, we need that from you so that we can get better. I love those girls like they were my own....and I treat them no different than i would treat my own children.
Stick with you current coach. Toughen up a little bit, let the water run off your back and do whats best for the team!
You'll be glad that you did!

Are you serious??? If you were as dedicated as i am to cheerleading you would get over your coach being mean. And lets think about this, would you rather have a mean coach that will push you to get better, or would you like a nice coach that doesn't criticise you, and just says "oh that was great!" even if it wasn't. you need criticism to get better. So stay on your team now and just push through it, if you can't handle the pressure, DON'T DO IT cause you're obvioously not that dedicated. GO JAG CHEER!!!

stay with ur team its not fair to them if u leave right now in the heat of nationals
and make sure its really what you want to do if u do after this season
make sure ur coach is actually being mean and not just hard cuz a lot of coaches seem mean but theyre just pushing u to do better

How devoted are you to your squad? I'm a varsity cheerleader and I would NEVER abandon my squad. You need to think about whether your coach is being mean, or just trying to do what's best for the squad, which is usually the case.
If you do leave them, then you obviously don't have the spirit and loyalty needed to be a great cheerleader.

Well if it were me, there would be no way I would join a new team. The coach may be mean or just a little hard, but he/she knows you and your abilities already and not to mention you would let your teamates down big time. That is just what I would do though!!!

Well I guess ur in a tought spot. If u really like ur team stick with it! Ignore ur coach. Compliment ur coach or do think of some new moves. The more u respect ur coach the more nicer he/she will be nice. Well it worked for me.

is she mean or hard? there's a difference, just because a coach pushes the team because she wanted them to do well doesn't mean she is being mean.
ultimately the decision is up to you, but you would be leaving your friends behind and like you said possibly competing against them.
you can't spend your whole life running away from things you don't like. sometimes you just gotta suck it up and deal.

i think you better stay in your team girl cause if you try another team, your coach would be much meaner to you.
