A little person on a planet, light years away from anywhere else containing intelligent beings, thought this brainwashing I keep hearing about is all very odd, who wrote this book that is meant to be word of the great being?
So he read it, thought about it, read it again and using the stories in the book proved beyond all doubt that not only was the book of the the great being just a nice story book, written by the beings of that planet but that the great being was also just a story.
Now lots of the beings on this planet hated the little being for proving this and refused to believe that it was true, because to accept this would mean that they had been living their lives following a lie and they couldn't face that.
So they set about trying to discredit the little being, obviously the worshippers of the great being had lots of power and money and used it, however what they couldn't refute was the logic the little being had used.
Now although the book these beings blindly followed said things like "be nice to each other every now and then and your lives will be better" they forgot this in the hatred of anything that wouldn't accept their truth.
So after failing to disprove what the little being had found they threatened him, his family and his friends, but still the little being refused to say his logic was false.
By this time the beings who had followed the book of the great being were so angry they resorted to the same tactic as many other groups have done who don't like it when other people say things that they dislike, they attacked the little being, his friends and his family and killed them all.
Because the beings on this planet were so fanatical in their belief in the great being and refused to accept anything else they justified their actions to each other by saying the little being had been really evil and that they were right because the book of the great being had to be followed.
What they didn't know was that the little being was a representative of an infinitly far more intelligent species who travelled the universes creating all the circumstances whereby life can develop.
They little beings, as they were known, were so angry with the narrow minded violent beings who killed one of their own, that they destroyed that planets entire universe using a technique that first sucked everything into one place then caused it to explode.
Now that we have destroyed the unpleasant planet hopefully no other plant that ever exists, they said, will blindly follow something that can't be proved to exist. Hopefully no species will ever be so stupid as to follow a book written to control the masses. How could a species be so petty as to kill each other over little disputes for centuries causing millions to die?
The End

As near as the physicists can tell, time started with the big bang. To speak of a time before the big bang is meaningless.
In any case, the consensus among scientists who study this stuff is that it's simply not possible to know what was going on "prior" to the big bang.

No matter what anyone tries to tell you otherwise, what conditions were like before the Big Bang are absolutely, totally, completely and positively unknown. At least a ga-zillion concepts, but not a single shred of evidence to support any of them.

Nothing existed before the Big Bang, the Big Bang was the beginning of time and everything else. It really doesn't make sense to ask what happened before.

At the point of singularity, time and space no longer exist.
There is absolutely no point in speculating, you will never know.
I would like to think, that the universe[s] stop expanding and contract in on themselves in a 'big crunch' so the whole thing happens again.
