It's currently the phoenix sun, but if the suns aren't careful, the spurs are going to catch and pass them.

The Suns. With the second best record in the West and in the league the Suns, with the Spurs lurking, are standing as the second best team in the league.

If you watched the last Suns vs. Mavericks game, which went into double OT, you can see that the Suns can play with the leagues best on their home court. They've had equal success as the Mavericks as far as winning streaks are concerned having 2 15+ game winning streaks this year.

Not to mention having 3 players nominated for the All-star game and featuring a player who is one of three to have back-to-back MVP's Steve Nash. They also average a league high 110.1 ppg as a team.

We can all agree that the West is the best as far as conferences goes, with 4 teams in the east playing less than .500 ball going for the 7th and 8th playoff spot, and the Suns have the second best record in the West.

Making them the second best team in the NBA

i have to go with the Houston Rockets because of who they have been able to beat this year
they have beaten the spurs, the mavericks and i don't know if they beat the suns but i do know they beat the pistons
whenever a team plays houston, they are scared and better bring their 'A' game
they also beat the sixers by 50

Suns. they are great. you need great defense to beat them or win if they are in a slump. They have two reigning MVP in Steve Nash who is doing so great. He has Diaw(when healthy), stoudmaire, marion, bell, barbosa, banks(when in the game), the Jones(when in the game),.

This team is deep with shooters and guys who can dominate in the paint, steve nash, great finishers, always on a fast tempo.
Im saying this as non suns fan. Go Lakers

That would be the Phoenix Suns. As far as raw talent goes, the benchmarks by which you're measuring would need tweaking. Before you ask, the third is San Antonio.
