Most Libras I know, really dont like to engage in any kind of heated discussion, and is generally willing to go along with others opinions! Why?

Yeah FREAKIN' RIGHT! I'm a Libra, and Librans are air signs, which means that we have an emphasis on communication, blah blah blah. BUT, we also have a sort of "charm", I suppose, which does make us want to be...hmm...I guess, more accepted or politically correct, or just polite. HOWEVER, the way I grew up has had a lot of influence on me, and I've been the underdog. Therefore, I support a lot of subcultures and I'm very open-minded, and I get really pissed when someone makes a narrow-minded comment about those subcultures. For instance, my little brothers, a Taurus and a Virgo, kept saying that Emos are stupid and that they're all posers and they have no reason to be Emo, etc. Well, when I stepped in to defend said group, I got angry, because they had no facts to stand on when judging the group, as a whole. So, yeah, I didn't LIKE getting into that heated discussion, but there I was, arguing my point. I'm a Punk, according to Greg Graffin's definition of Punk. I don't wear the clothes or have a radical hairstyle, but I do speak my mind and question authority, as is my right. And if I'm going to get into a heated discussion, I'm going to have the best facts at my side...THAT, is probably why most Libras don't speak out, in your experience...because they either don't have the facts, don't want to argue or lose their temper, or they simply agree.

All I can say to this is that
Simon Cowell of American Idol is a Libra (but has like 4 planets in scorpio)
Ryan Seacrest of American Idol is also a Libra.
I do not know any doormats of libra. To me they are fantastic, quick witted and loveable, if that makes them doormats,, well thats your opinion. I would think a Pisces or Cancer would be more that way.

Not necessarily... If the Libra is trying too hard to be peacemaking, they can over extend themselves and be doormat-like... but some of the best generals in war have been Libras... because Libras unserstand other people, and a good warrior truly understands his enemy...
