I think so, but in a different way. Tom Cruise surprised me in Interview With the Vampire, so I think he could pull off almost anything. However, the first Matrix movie was made in the late nineties. Tom Cruise is such a paparazzi figure now even more than then, I think people would not find him believable. He is talented, yes. But the photographers need to give it a rest already. Keanu Reeves is interesting as an actor, especially in A Scanner Darkly, but I think the movie would have made it without him. In my opinion, Laurence Fishburn was the irreplaceable one in that movie. He is great as Morpheus.

Yes. Neo is the part Keanu was born to play, but Cruise is a great actor. He would have done well even though he would have to get on his tippy toes to kiss Trinity.

Well, originally, they wanted to cast Will Smith for the role, so go figure.

And they wanted David Scwhimmer for Will Smith's role in Men in Black.

i think it would be. Tom Cruise has done well in the sci-fi/fantasy genre (minority report and legend) so I think it'd be interesting if he were cast in that role

HELL NO, no, no no, and more no. If someone does that, they are going to ruin the Matrix franchise. He is way too short to play Neo, anyways....LOL
