Is California going to become an island or flood and become part of the Pacific Ocean because of the fault line?

we are on a transform fault so we're not subducting or diverging. The North American Plate and the Pacific Plate are rubbing/grinding against one another. California is actually being pulled(or rather shifting northword towards Alaska) But no we will not become an island or drown or anything. A new fault is also being created...but believe me this is gonna take a very long time...don't worry about it.lol!

A section of California (from around the Salton Sea to just north of San Francisco) is currently heading up to become part of Alaska. In about 25 million years Los Angeles will be a suburb of Juneau. Get used to the cold weather!

No, but LA will eventually be west of SF in about 10 million years. Don't worry about it.
