HELP PLZ! And how do these changes affect the behavior of the ion????

Atoms have to gain one or more electrons to become negative ions. Atoms that lose one or more electrons become positive ions.

Ions act differently than neutral atoms or molecules because they are repelled by like charges and attracted by opposite charges.
