the real name for a daddy long legs is actually called a 'crane fly'
i only found this out the other day it was a question on one of the quizzes on the game machine in my local boozer, i got the question wrong this is how i know. ooops.

hello! there is no specific term for a female spider of *any* variety. they're just females :-)
incidentally, i love daddy long-legs, i have two that live in my bedroom, they're very friendly. most people don't realise how intelligent they are!
