My niece and I have both come to the same conclusion....we're both lousy interviewers, but good workers. The problem is, we cant get hired anywhere to prove that we're good workers, because we always blow the interview. How do you have a good interview? What are some tips/advice?

First, dress very businesslike. Dont wear anything revealing or tight. I just read in a magazine about having a good interview and they suggested this. I would probably go with something very nice depending on where you are applying. Also, as a given, be very respectful and dont give stupid answers. I know by experience is the person who might hire you always looks at the way you present yourself.

When you walk into the interview act as if you already have the job. Your confidence level goes up and you appear very relaxed when you act like it's just a formality. Seriously, I've done this several times and it always works like a charm. When you're relaxed feel free to even joke with the interviewer, once you feel that secure.

maintaining alot of eye contact is good, ive heard it exudes honesty and confidence when speaking, also to appear at ease during the interview and have knowledge of the company interviewing you (if able). you can use this info to relate to your answers in showing how you are a good candidate for the position. (plus it shows you took intiative to conduct research-which shows effort and sincere interest that could garner you extra points if other candidates did not. hope this helps.

The key, I believe, is confidence. Let the interviewer SEE that confidence. Be yourself. Believe in yourself. Believe in your ability. Make the interviewer believe you can and WILL make a positive addition to the team. Go for it and good luck!
