Make sure you cover your feet and the palms of your hands with sunscreen. Usually a bathing suit will be adequate to cover the sensitive areas. For your first time, 10 minutes is the max if you can stand it that long. Be careful, it is really not good for you. Do the spray, it is faster, safer, and easier.

try to NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT use a tanning bed in the first place!!!!!!!!!! tanning beds are HORRIBLE for your skin! a person who has only 1 tanning session is 16% more likely to get skin cancer by the age of 55! and going in just one time can cause heart problems. also if not hooked up propperly, can cause scaring adn discolored bumps.

try alteritives like self tanner, i use it and it does not harm my skin at all, and it works just fine. i use jergins slef-tanner for only $8 for a bottle that lasts a long time.

Wear sunscreen or a wetsuit. Tanning is terrible for your skin and your health.
