I assume that Broderick Bunkley starts at defensive tackle and that Takeo Spikes replaces Dhani Jones as strong side linebacker. How much if at all do you think the Eagles defense improves from this trade? Also what positions will they address in the coming draft? How well do think the Eagles will do next year?

Their LB will do better but their Dline will struggle unless Jevon Kearse is healthy. Their defense was bang up due to injuries. If their star defender doesnt get injuried. They would do good.
I think Takeo Spikes was all that serious to get to give away Darwin Walker. Takeo is good and everything.

The Eagles defense is now greatly improved. They can start Broderick Bunkley and Mike Patterson at defensive tackles. These are two young first round picks, Patterson was a first rounder in the 2005 draft from USC and Bunkley the first round pick last year from Florida State. I think the Eagles wanted Darwin Walker gone, and now they have him gone.

Takeo Spikes will probably start strong side, and Dhani Jones will probably move back to the weak side where he used to play. The Eagles defense will have new starters in new positions but the bottom line is they are improved and could challenge for the NFC in the Super Bowl next year.

Takeo Spikes is probably going to be an average player now, so don't expect him to be the player he was and you probably won't be disappointed. He simply no longer has the speed and cutting ability that are needed to be an effective linebacker in the Cover-2 anymore, but he may fit a traditional 4-3 system better. Holcomb has a nickname in Buffalo....Captain Checkdown. Should he see the field, be prepared to be amazed by 4-5 yard passes every time he drops back. He cannot throw the ball very far, and is slightly more mobile than Drew Bledsoe.

Personally, I laugh at the people who mock my Bills....but I don't think anyone came out ahead on this...on paper. We'll see how it shakes out. The Eagles are a team with a closing window, so veterans are what they need...but the Bills are still opening their window, thus the need for youth....

Firts and for most...I am a Die hard Eagles fan...I am also a huge fan of the NFL...

I think the Eagles made a great move trading for Takeo Spikes. I think this will sure up our Strong Side and improve the play of Trotter...We still need Brodrick to play like the player we think he is...If this is the case the Eagle might be top 3 or 4 in "D" in the NFC...

I love it...and the Eagles willl be in Arizona for the Super Bowl and Yes they/ US will WIN...

They probably adress another DT in the draft just to have a 3rd guy in the rough. If McNab stays healty and they can get a good WR
