Philadelphia is a city rich in history! Check out the links below. The first link is a general tourist site, the second link tells you about historical sites. While you're there you may as well try the Rouge Burger at Rouge which was number 4 on the best 20 burgers in America seen on Oprah! Have Fun! =)

There are tons to do in Philly.
South Street is not as ecclectic as it once was. There are still some great shopping and food joints, make sure you hit up Jims Steaks or grab a frozen drink at Fat Tuesdays, Tattooed moms is always a fun place. Wednesdays is 25cent peroige night, always good with a Pabst Blue Ribbon. Tallboys are only 3 dollars or so. The upstairs has pool tables, great music, and of course old bumper cars and rollercoaster cars to chill in.
DEFINATELY check out the Magic Garden on south street (http://www.urban75.org/photos/philadelphia/magic-garden.html) Get your picture taken in the front of the Love sculpture at Love Park. Fairmount park is beautiful on nice spring day With over 215 miles of recreation trails, 139 picnic sites, 34 miles of waterways, six golf courses, 368 athletic fields and outdoors courts, and one disc golf course (the nation's second oldest!) Fairmount Park makes it really easy to play sports, exercise, enjoy a picnic or simply relax.
There is a great skate park under 95 at FDR park... Bam used to make some appearances
Run up the art museum steps.. and then see some magnificent works of art... its free on sundays (just a donation).
good luck, have fun.. i love this city!

Independence hall and Liberty Bell are much less high priced, Browse the Chinatown (that is extreme-high quality), bypass to South highway (exciting community, walk previous the interpreting terminal parket. in case you bypass there on New 365 days's Day you could look into the Mummer's Parade.

Could always check out Eastern State Penitentiary if they are having a tour or event while you are there.
