There is no "best" type as music is a personal preference, kinda like asking "what is the best flavor of ice cream".

I would have to say classical music.
I can listen to it whenever I feel like it.
For the other types I have to be in the mood for it. I like all the other types too, but I can't listen to it everyday. Classical, it's easy to take in, no words, just the beautiful flow of an orchestra. I'm listening to it right now.
My personal opinion.
(I come from a country where Bach, Mozart and Beethoven have their roots-breathtaking art.)

My favorite is classic rock. Good classical music is great too, but I tend to gravitate towards the more high energy stuff.

I like both kinds of music: Country AND Western!
A lot of rock is aging so well, I think our great-great-grandchildren will be listening to a lot of the today's greats!

Classical. It's already lasted this long. It's the original long hair music, and everything else after it, has its roots in Classical.

Classical music really is the best music. It is the softest music to the ears and is proven to boost intelligence if listened to.
