I am sure the Democrats would be pissed and they would piss and moan. They would probably demand hearings and say those poor sailors. Do you think they would really mean a naval ship was just lost and those things cost about 5 billion dollars a piece?

I think we would retaliate in kind because we have a president who is actually will to do something instead of just sitting by (like with the attack on the Cole). It would infuriate the Dems but in the end I think they would end up supporting our efforts just like how they originally supported the war in Iraq. The Republicans would definitely win the next presidential election if we were at war with Iran.
