They should draft Jamarcus Russell because they need a good signal caller. In the second round i think they should get either a receiver or an offensive lineman, and in the third round get someone to help them on defense. Even if they do score in this draft though, they are only a 6-10 team at best.

1. Sign Carr.
2. Trade their #1 pick in the draft for about the #15 pick and about the #25 pick (this is about what it is worth).
3. Draft Marshawn Lynch with the #15 pick. He stays in his hometown and becomes a star. A huge upgrade from Lamont Jordan.
4. Draft Robert Meachem or the best WR available with the #25 pick (I like Meachem the best though). Then get rid of Moss or Porter, whichever one has a bigger attitude problem, by trading them for O-line help.
Their offense needs a huge overhaul like this to be decent, but if they do this, they have a shot at being this year's Saints.

They need to start with linemen that can actually hold a block for a few seconds. I don't care who they have as a QB, WR or RB, you can't run an offense with 3 defensive lineman in your backfield as soon as the ball is snapped. Take notice that winning teams all have solid O-lines. Oaklands is the worst in the league except for maybe Houston's.

Here is the scenario
First, trade Randy Moss for good linemen....
Also, get David Carr (I know he is good... He just can't show with that kind of linemen...)
Second, draft Calvin Johnson (Once in a lifetime player)
First round
Third, Get Tony Ugoh... He is pretty good
second round
Fourth get Troy Smith to packup Carr cuz Carr might not do well either
Third round

Well, if they're really intent on signing Carr, which I'm not so sure is the right thing to do, then they can take Joe Thomas or Calvin Johnson with their pick. I say if they sign Carr, trade down, grab a couple more picks. Plenty of holes to fill.

Virtually anyone they Draft will improve them, but for them to do good next season they would need, Jamarcus Russel, Joe Thomas, and Calvin Johnson. If they dont get one of those three or at least Brady Quinn then they are going to have another bad season.

I say keep Randy Moss, and draft Calvin Johnson as number 2 receiver. Trade for David Carr, and you might have a good passing attack right there.

They need a QB, WR, RB(just in case Lamont Jordan leaves), an oline. on defense they need to DT(Warren Sapp will either leave or end up retiring, buddy is old) and 1 CB for depth. their defense is not a big problem but their offense is the reason they sucked. I blame the oline even though their 3 QBs sucked last seasons. running game can start and didnt even give a good time for Brooks to threw it to the WR.

Draft Jamarcus Russell and build the team around him. 2nd round draft the best WR available and 3rd draft the best offensive lineman available.
