I have had 2 360's. Both have gotten the three red lights. One i bought last june, the other i got from the repair center after sending in my old one. That one is now gettin the three red lights. If i was to buy a new one this weekend, would the chances of the three red lights be slimmer?

WOW, this is happening to many people, just get a PS3. the 20 gig is only $500 and is way better than the premium X360. really, MICROSOF needs to get their SH!T together and extend their warranty.
sounds like a rush job

no you might as well just send your second 360 to get repaired. Buying a new 360 will not help your chances at all. Oh and the intercoolers and fans dont really help (maybe by about 1%) besides they void your warranty

That really depends. When were the 360s made.If they were one of the one's that were made in 2005,then the chances of you getting 3 red lights is slimmer. If not, then your 360 is messed up.But the chances are much smalller now than when it first launched.

Buying a newer version of the Xbox 360 should decrease your chances of getting the dreaded rings of death. Hopefully Microsoft would have fixed this problem in the newer releases. But it is still possible to get them. I would try buying the intercooler and see if it works out.

I too have a 360 and mine kept getting the 3 ring of death...my reccomendation----------BUY THE INTERCOOLER FAN.........for 20 it is the best deal....i dont know how rich you are to be buying 3 Xbox 360s but just spend 20-30 bucks and I'm 99.999% sure it will not overheat (3 rings of red) This is the best 20 bucks u will spend
