My advice is that the car's too old to put much money into. Any money I spent on it would be to just keep it running while I saved for a newer car. GM cars of that vintage don't have a stellar reputation in general. I have a 1992 Ford now which has a great running engine and transmission, but the metal brake and fuel lines are all rusted out. The air conditioning is too expensive to fix etc. So eventually, the car is either a collector item or destined for the junk heap.

well, i say fix it up if you want to. cause you want to be proud of what your driving. But try to use the less expensive stuff until you can get a car made to run forever. like a caddy or town car or something. i have had two century's and had bad luck with both. there just not designed well.
