I am trying to get something shipped to me that is for my wife but I don't want it shipped to my house because it is a surprise for her birthday. We are new to the area so I don't know anyone that I trust yet to have it shipped to them for me. I need to know were I can have it shipped to without having to get a PO box.

Ship it to yourself in care of the Post Office.

You can not have it shipped to the Post Office. They will return it when you do not have a box there or if they have record of you home address they may forward it there.

My suggestion is to talk with your local UPS Store, Kinkos/Fedex, or Mail Boxes Etc. Many have ways you can do this without paying for a box but they may have a small fee.
Check them out by calling ones in your area.

Contact the local Post Office and ask them if you can hava a package sent to you at General Delivery. It is possible, but doubtful, due to the fact that they may have security concerns (bombs, nerve gas, etc.)
