Our house was built in August 2006 and my husband's shower doors and chrome fixtures already look like hell!!! I can't get him to wipe them off everytime he takes a shower (I've tried) so I need to know what I can use on the chrome that will not hurt marble?

Hi Sherry
All these answers are quite right, the trick is simple worry first about the more fragile surface to be cleaned, in this case the marble.
One rule to be sure if what you use is good. Use any product that you would use on baby skin or a product that is indicated -can be used on marble.
Simple
No more tears from J&J simply meant it was non acidic or low in akeline so it can't burn the eyes. Anything acedic (vinigar, lemon scent etc will evetually remove the shine on marble. And nothing abrasive
So remember baby skin. Now within those cleaners just find one that works well on chrome as the others stated a few and there are 20 more, and use the one you like best.
I do reccomend one but getting something that smells good for you, convinient and close to home is more important

Hey, Sherry, I had EXACTLY the same problem, only w/kids refusing to wipe doors down, etc. A marble contractor turned me on to a product called ELIMINATE (which I buy at Home Depot), and now I can't live w/out it. It comes in a spray bottle, is so gentle that I would leave a bottle in the shower, (do you believe, w/kids!) They each had a wall or door to do before leaving the shower. That's how non-caustic it is. And no smell. They'd spray it on and just wipe it down w/their wrung-out wash cloth. Totally safe on marble, even if a puddle is ignored. They're all grown now & they all keep one in their showers. (whadyaknow!)

THEN-- I discovered that it also wonderfully cleans vaporizer and humidifier gunk. Even if your humidifier isn't cleaned all season and is TOTALLY coated. I pour it in the well, high enuf to also cover coils, whatever is coated, and put it somewhere. Come back to it in 3days to a week, and all the gunk is dissolved into white flakes (looks like foam). Pour it out. (Actually, I pour it thru a strainer & reuse it on other humidifiers. Have one Eliminate bottle labelled USED) No rubbing, scraping. I'm not kidding. Also works on lime deposits in plastic or clay planter pots.

I'm sorry if I sound like an ad, here, but I swear I couldn't live w/out the stuff. And I love it that there's no cleaning smell. No asphixiating in the shower when I'm cleaning.

Hope this helps. You could maybe google Eliminate to see where else you could buy it if you're not near a Home Depot. (It's in the cleaning supplies section.) --Winky

Q: I’ve obviously used Shower Shield in the shower, but what other areas around the house may benefit from its cleaning power?

A: Well, let’s talk about your car for a moment. Your windows will look bright and clean if you use Shower Shield on them while you’re detailing your car. Simply use on car windows as you would in the shower. A few areas in the house that are recommended for Shower Shield are windows, fixtures, and countertops.

Q: How long does it really take? I’m a bachelor who doesn’t have a lot of time for cleaning, and want to make the task as simple as possible.

A: Then this product is for you. Average cleaning time is 3-4 minutes.

Q: Someone told me this product works great on fiberglass, is that true?

A: It sure is. Use 303 Shower Shield on your boat’s windshield for a clear, lustrous shine.

do no longer USE chemical factors MADE FOR TILE, MARBLE IS an entire diverse BALL PARK!!!!! For the marble, armstrong and different important labels say to apply vinager & water. in spite of if it is wanting a deep clean, purely use vinager, at the instant. For the grout, whilst it gets finding undesirable, purely get a grout brush out of your close by providers (lowes, domicile depot, and so on.) and use vinager. you're no longer meant to placed on any sealer for the marble, yet once you prefer to maintain your grout from getting undesirable you should apply a sealer on it. you should purchase some on the domicile depot or lowes to boot. the style you should apply as a fashion to make it stay the comparable because it is now, with organic outcomes, is a water based sealer made via tile lab. It is provided in a Yellow field & is as a rule beside the grout and tile in domicile depot or lowes. They do carry the curler form, yet I even have extra suitable success with utilising a part form paint brush. on account that this may be a water base sealer, the comb may be rinsed out and not be affected. as a fashion to suitable seal the grout, verify it is clean and given lots of dry time (2 hours minimum) Then placed your sealer in a cup and dip away. you should placed like 3 coats on it, or use it till your grout repels it. enable it dry approximately an hour between coats. do no longer placed a fan on it, because of the fact that is going to reason it to air dry rather of penetrate into the grout. additionally, verify you preserve a damp towel and dry towel to get the surplus sealer off of the tile, because it has a tendency to continually get the place that is not any longer needed! So sorry for one in each of those long answer, yet I figured if i became gonna advise something, might to boot inform you the total 9!

I am in the cleaning business and here is our secret!
We buy this cleaning cloth off the internet. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors and chrome. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out….hope this helps…Steve
