No, a girl only begins a period when she goes through puberty. The occurs around 9 to 14 years old.
I would be finding out what is going on. Go to the doctors.

Grow up!

I would go and check her at the doctors. That is not very normal, the earliest I've heard is the age of 8. Don't panic though. I just. wow. Your daughter right now is probably very confused, so you might want to give her some SIMPLE advice and information. But I would really go and check at the doctors. ~isa

Everyone is saying grow up because that really isn't funny to some of us who have kids,,,,maybe even some who don't,,,
medical conditions are real, they are not now,
nor have they ever been anything to joke about.

If my daughter had been 6 when she started,
I would have flipped out and assumed the worst,,,
I agree, NOT at all funny,,,,
do grow up.....

You should carry her to a doctor cause something may be very wrong with her, your 6 yr old shouldnt be worryin about a period at that age, she is way to young for that

No! Not okay! Poor thing. I don't know if she is over-weight or not, but that can sometimes cause them to start early. It may not even be her 'p' word. Well, you should visit the doctor. If not, the hostpital.

Oh my god no! Get her to a hospital or a doctor now! It could be something else, like internal bleeding.

There is story called "The boy who cried Wolf" I hope you remember how it turned out. One day you are going to need help and no one will come to your assistance.
