Well I had my parents kiss my boo boos many a time, When my parents kissed it,it would still hurt but the thought of love and care eased the pain a bit sometimes.
Although my grandmother, never expressed her feelings, she's from the old country-side of China and she'd usually scold me for being too womanish.

Actually I did. I felt that if they kissed they really cared about me and didn't want me to get hurt. They didn't want to see me in pain. I felt like I was the center of attention and I loved it. BUt in the inside the "boo boo" still hurt.

Sometimes the tension of being scared can cause a bump to hurt longer because of the increased blood pressure caused by the tension. When you cuddle the child and kiss the hurt, it calms them and decreases the tension, thereby, decreasing the pain. So, yes, it has probably happened to most of the people out there.

No I didn't believe that. Mommy and daddy kissing my "boo boo" wouldn't make the pain go away.

No it wouldn't make sense that with the touch of lips something can just be healed. Especially when it's in the inside of my body it just wouldn't make sense so I never believed it but whenever I hurt my self I just went through the pain and let it heal naturally like broken bones. Never told anyone.

Yes, I did believe and it really worked. I still believe in that. Though parents are no more, remembering them in pain, reduces the intensity of the pain even now.

No, but I liked getting 'kisses and hugs' when I'd hurt myself. Most kids don't 'believe' their pain goes away, but they do 'love the attention' and in fact they NEED that attention after they hurt themselves.
